Kode Redd Dance Studio’s PLEDGE TO COVID-19 SAFE PRACTICES

Kode Redd Dance Studio promotes COVID-19 safe practices by all participants when the arts reopen under local guidelines.


Covid-19 General Info

The COVID-19 novel coronavirus is a new strain of coronavirus affecting humans. Some coronaviruses can cause illness similar to the common cold and others can cause more serious diseases such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). This novel coronavirus is still new and as such we are still learning more about it.

Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms reported in identified cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus include:

  • fever

  • coughing

  • sore throat

  • fatigue

  • difficulty breathing

  • headache

  • unexplained muscle and/or joint pain

  • chills

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • diarreha,

  • loss of sense of smell

  • pink eye

Anyone with symptoms or fever is asked to return home, report to their physician and isolate themselves.

  • The same procedures will be applied to all employees entering our location

  • All dancers and staff should be self-monitoring their symptoms. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Checking for fever > 100.4, cough, shortness of breath twice a day

  • Daily review of other symptoms that could be related: Sore throat, congestion, headache, muscle and joint pain, chills, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, loss of sense of smell, pink eye

  • Anyone who develops symptoms should leave immediately, seek care from their physician, and isolate


KODE REDD DANCE STUDIO PLEDGE

We will also abide by these safety precautions:

  • toilets may remain open but must be cleaned regularly

  • Dancers should arrive dressed and ready for class or rehearsal

  • arrive on time, leave on time

  • maintain good hygiene practices eat off-site where possible

  • all participants maintain at least 6 apart

  • any tasks that can be done at home, should be done at home (costume or clothing repair, make-up), online meetings, etc.

BEST PRACTICE GUIDANCE

  • Staff and Dancers are to wear a mask or face shield and are to maintain 6ft distance.

  • Hand Sanitizer and Dispensers are located throughout the studio.

  • Dancers are encouraged to come dressed in dance attire to avoid changing at the dance studio.

  • Please leave extra bags in the car or at home.

  • Dancer’s parent or guardian must wear a mask.

  • Dancers are asked to sanitize their hands before entering the studio.

  • There are designated spots in the studio for dancers to store their dance bags if they need to change shoes.

  • Teachers have created lesson plans to help our dancers maintain their space.

  • Teachers will teach from the front of the classroom and be prepared to wear a mask or face shield if they need to get close to a dancer to assist or spot.

  • There is no access to the water fountain; dancers must bring a spill proof cup or water bottle.

  • Dancer’s phones must be kept in a dance bag.

  • Any props used will be put in the “used” bin to be sanitized before being used again.

  • Dancers will be asked to leave one at a time and handed over to a parent or guardian at the designated spot.

  • Floors and barres (if used) will be cleaned between each class.

  • Bathrooms and high traffic areas are cleaned and sanitized before each and after each class.

    • All class sizes will be determined based on Covid occupancy guideline (25% of maximum capacity)

    • Daily temperature checks before entry to the studio

    • On time Drop off and Pick up is required.

    • No extra visitors allowed

    • Mask are required upon entry.

    • Before each class, parents will be asked standard Covid questions.

    • Dancers must arrive and leave in their mask.

    • Dancers are to also arrive in their class attire.
